The Big Show. It was time for the class to put on their final performances, all of which took place in the community. The image to the right is of one particular performance that dealt with the connectivity we as humans have with one another. The performer approached people in a public setting and told them that she felt a connection to them and if they felt a connection to her she would have them hold this yellow string. The conversation that ensued after this performance was awesome. Every member of the class had insight into what the piece was doing. We talked about issues of small groups and clicks, along with how we can shake up those small groups and make them realize the people around us. While we were talking some lady came up to the group and asked what the performance was about. The student who created it did a great job articulating what her piece represents. I think this really showed the group the power that performance can have on a community.
