Myths, Fairtytales, and Folklores: Storyboards

Week two's lesson was based on storyboards and there effect on creating an effective sequence for their final story. This lesson had both its ups and downs. Many of the students found the making of the storyboards to be fun and interesting. The downside of the lesson was that their stories were not developed enough. We went over what the basic components of a story had at the beginning of the class with a powerpoint presentation. The students seemed to grasp that most stories have a beginning, middle, and an end but did not follow through in their actual stories. This problem, I think, came from us not asking them enough questions about how the event of the story took place. This lesson was defiantly a good start but next week we are going to have to spend a little more time on the storyboards in order for them to create a cohesive book. In the end though, it was a great lesson because we learned that things do not always go according to plan.
